Liam Friedman was recognized for the Monarchs.
To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average under 79.0 in Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 in Division I, II and III. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
Friedman finished the spring 2010 semester with a 3.40 grade point average balanced with a 74.0 stroke average on the course. He competed in eight tournaments for the year capped off by helping the team to the 2010 NCAA Division III National Championship. Friedman earned USA South First Team All-Conference honors and All-Tournament recognition. In addition to his All-American Scholar recognition, Friedman was also named a Methodist Senior Scholar Athlete and USA South Academic All-Conference selection.
