DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Methodist University cheerleading team traveled to Florida to compete at the 2010 NCA/NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship. After the preliminary round, the Monarchs scored 7.314 in the All Girl III division.

The team left Fayetteville late Tuesday night to travel south and competed Thursday morning with their first performance. The Monarchs are scheduled to go on again Friday at 11:40 a.m.
