USA South Announces Men's Tennis Awards

Two Methodist players earn recognition

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference awards for men's tennis. A total of 26 student-athletes have been named to the teams including two Methodist players.

Matthew Taylor was named to the First Team after finishing 9-7 at the No. 1 singles spot this season. Taylor finished 4-2 in the USA South while earning a 9-7 doubles record.

Taylor's doubles partner Robert Clayton was an Honorable Mention selection.

Also, the USA South recognized an All-Sportsmanship Team, consisting of one member from each competing school. All honors are determined by votes from the men's tennis coach at each institution. Steven Burkett was recognized for the Monarchs.
