FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Methodist junior Kristyn Zeiler traveled to the final indoor track and field meet of the regular season on Saturday for another shot at qualifying for the NCAA National Championships.

The provisional qualifying time for the mile is 5:05.40 and Zeiler had most recently run 5:07.85 at the Mason Dixon Conference Championships. Hoping to shave another few seconds off of her time, Zeiler made the trip to Blacksburg, Va.

Zeiler finished sixth in the 14-women field finishing in 5:05.88. She also competed in the 3,000 meter race in which she won in 10:19.34.

The Methodist track and field team will open up the outdoor season at the Raleigh Relays Mar. 26-27.
