JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. - The Methodist men's golf team competed in the first round of the Jekyll Island Invitational on Friday. The Monarchs are currently in second place with a 291.
Huntingdon is in first place with a 287. The Monarchs are four strokes behind and Transylvania is in third with a 295.
Liam Friedman led the men with a one-under par 71 and
Trey Howell shot a 72.
Josh Schrader finished the first round with a 73 and
Josh Speight shot a 75.
Alex Weir finished with a 76.
The tournament continues on Saturday.
