FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The MU men’s tennis program has started their spring season and is looking to continue a strong tradition of tennis.

The Monarchs look to pick up where they left off at the end of the fall season with a core group of returning veteran players. The men’s program added many new faces representing Virginia, Ohio, Georgia, New Jersey, Illinois and Puerto Rico.

The Monarchs will take the road for their first game two games of the seasons battling against two Division II schools Barton College and Pfieiffer University Feb. 23 and 26 respectfully. The team’s first home match is against regionally ranked Hampden-Sydney College Feb. 27 at 1:30 p.m.

Helping Coach Kurvink with the men’s program will be assistant coach Rob Currier.  Coach Currier finished his career playing for the Monarchs last May and adds a wealth of experience and knowledge of the game.
