FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Massey Ratings are a well-known system developed by Kenneth Massey designed to measure past performance, but not necessarily to predict future outcomes. The Massey Ratings rated the USA South Athletic Conference the top conference in NCAA Division III baseball in 2009.

The system rates 46 Division III conferences based on a series of factors which are then entered into a computer program with detailed calculations. The ratings are published on Massey's web site and categorized by sport and division.
