Methodist Women's Golf Opens at Sea Trail

SUNSET BEACH, N.C. - The Methodist women's golf team opened up with the first round of the Sea Trail Women's Intercollegiate at Sunset Beach, N.C. The Monarchs shot 319 on the par 72 course.
Western Carolina leads the field with a 293 for the day while Samford is in second (294) and Longwood is in third (299).
Methodist is currently in ninth place, led by senior
Susan Martin with a 74 to tie for ninth place. Senior
Alana Swain is tied for 30th with a 78 and sophomore
Kelsey Magnine tied for 41st with an 83. Junior
Paige Caldwell shot an 84 for 45th place and junior
Emily Jackson finished up with a 90.
The tournament continues with the second round on Saturday.
