NORMAN, Okla. - The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) has released the 2009 All-Nicklaus Team. Methodist junior
Josh Schrader was one of 20 players from Division I, II, III and the NAIA to be recognized for their outstanding play during the past collegiate season.
Created in 2008, the All-Nicklaus Team is named for Jack Nicklaus, a Big Ten and NCAA Champions at The Ohio State University. Recognized as one of the greatest players in the game of golf, Nicklaus has also been a strong supporter of collegiate golf. He helped create the Nicklaus Award in 1988 to recognize the top golfer in each division.
Schrader led the Monarchs with a team low 73.1 stroke average this season. He won two tournaments before being named the USA South Player of the Year and earning First Team All-Conference honors. At the conclusion of the NCAA Championship, Schrader was named a First Team All-American for the second consecutive year by the GCAA.
