Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Methodist jumped out to a quick 6-1 lead in the first ten minutes of the women's lacrosse game Saturday and cruised to the 19-7 victory.
Jasmine Stephens fed
Andrea DiStefano for the first goal of the game for Methodist (3-6), but Tennessee Wesleyan (1-3) came back and evened the score at one with a goal at the other end. The Monarchs scored the next six goals to lead 7-1 before the Bulldogs scored their second goal. Methodist finished the first half with the 14-4 lead.
The Monarchs scored the first four goals of the second half to secure their lead and closed out with the 19-7 win.
Andrea DiStefano set a new Methodist record for goals in a game with 10 and added an assist. Stephens scored two goals with three assists for five points and
Diane Starrantino had one goal and three assists for four points. Mutiple players contributed to the scoring with

Amber Jurkovac,
Abby Harmon,
Kate Kaus,
Dawn Sanderson and
Anna Casteel each scoring a goal.
Methodist goalkeeper
Lindsey Cosgray finished with eight saves and four ground balls in the win.
The Bulldogs goalkeeper Bethany Shenberger had five stops.
The Monarchs will travel to Ferrum on Tuesday for a 4 pm USA South game.
