FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) has announced the 2009 Academic All-District Football team.  Methodist senior Jason Layton has earned First Team honors.

Layton is a Math Education major with a 3.42 cumulative grade point average.  In his third season with the Monarchs, Layton has started every game at fullback earning 33 rushing yards.  As a member of the All-District First Team, Layton advances to the national ballot for Academic All-American recognition.
