USA South Announces All-Conference Football Teams

Sophomore Tyler Mosko named to the First Team

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference awards for football. A total of 94 student-athletes have earned All-Conference honors including nine Methodist players awarded accolades.

N.C. Wesleyan's Bo Jordan earned Offensive Player of the Year honors, LeeRon Boykin was named Defensive Player of the Year, James Wallace collected Defensive Rookie of the Year accolades while their coach, Mark Henninger was named Coach of the Year. Greensboro College's Antwan Thorpe earned the final individual award as he was named Offensive Rookie of the Year. All honors are determined by votes from the football coach at each institution.

Methodist sophomore Tyler Mosko was named to the First Team after finishing 9-for-13 on field goals and 23-for-24 in extra point attempts. The 23 extra points rank him fourth all-time amongst season PAT leaders and finished with a career-long 42-yard field goal in overtime to help the Monarchs defeat Shenandoah.

Senior offensive lineman Brandon Iseman and senior defensive back Brian Leary were Second Team selections. Iseman started every game for the Monarchs on the line while Leary led the Methodist defense with 80 tackles and one interception.

Honorable Mention selections included senior quarterback Erik Teague, senior wide receiver Chris Peoples, sophomore tight end Nathan Kindley, junior defensive lineman Michael Doyne, senior defensive back Demory Williams and freshman return specialist Grady Hart.

Also, the USA South recognized an All-Sportsmanship Team, consisting of one member from each competing school. Brian Leary represented the Monarchs on the All-Sportsmanship team.
