FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Fall 2009 marked the historic beginning of a new tradition of performance excellence at Methodist University.
"The Pride of the Carolina's" marching band debuted in September and is winding down its performance schedule over the coming weeks. The first year has been a tremendous success as over 40 musicians have committed themselves to setting a high standard for all future Methodist University musicians.
You are invited to be part of the future of the Marching Band program. If you have a strong desire to learn and a passion to perform, be sure to complete and submit the Prospective Band Member Form.
Each member of the Methodist University Marching Band will receive a scholarship for his or her participation in this outstanding performance ensemble. Marching Band Scholarsips are valued at up to $1,000 for the fall semester. These Marching Band scholarships can be combined with most academic, performance and/or need-based scholarship and grant programs offered by the University, the state of North Carolina or the Federal Government. Be sure to contact your admissions counselor if you have questions about financial assistance.
As you consider a college or university, it is important to understand the value of a campus visit. There is no substitute for getting on campus and finding out first-hand if Methodist University is the right place for you.
You may wish to visit on a day when the Marching Band is performing. November 14, 2009 marks the last home football game and the last chance to see the Marching Monarchs in action on campus. The Office of Admissions will conduct campus tours and a group information session starting at 10:30 on the 14th. Call 910-630-7027 today if you are interested in visiting on this date.
