Women's Tennis Opens With 9-0 Win

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Methodist women's tennis team defeated Catholic University 9-0 in a dual match Friday afternoon.
The Monarchs opened up with three wins at doubles.
Kaitlin Flaherty and
Katherine Meindl won 8-2 at number one and
Lindsey Davis and
Dana Powell won 8-0 at number two.
Rachel Purser and
Heather Brayton finished off with an 8-0 win at number three.
In singles competition, Flaherty won 6-2, 6-0 at number one and Meindl won 6-0, 6-0 at number two. Davis won 6-1, 6-2 at number three and at number four, Purser won 6-1, 6-3. Powell won 6-0, 6-0 at number five and Brayton won 6-0, 6-0.
The Monarchs will take on Hood College on Sunday.
