FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Methodist University hosted the 2009 Cumberland County Fall Special Olympics. Many student-athletes volunteered during the soccer and volleyball competitions.

The SwampDog's co-owner and head coach Darrell Handelsman welcomed all of the Special Olympians to the competition while the team's mascot Fun-Go greeted the athletes. Methodist student-athletes served as division leaders and assisted with the competitions.
