Methodist Closes Out Men's Tennis Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Methodist men's tennis team continued competing in their MU Invitational Sunday with singles and doubles matches.
Rob Clayton defeated Chase (Guilford) 6-0, 6-2 and
Eric Smith won 6-1, 6-2 over
Sean Teeter.
Anthony Santonastaso defeated
Kevin Wickham 6-4, 6-2 before
Sean Smith earned a 6-4, 6-4 win over Santonastaso.
In doubles play, Smith and
Mark Tarentino won 8-6 over Santonastaso and Wickham. Teeter and
Steven Burket lost 7-9 and
Neil Perron and
Drew Schrum lost 3-8.
Justin Campbell and
Reid Baker lost 5-8.
The Monarchs have completed their fall schedule and will kick off the spring schedule at Barton College Feb. 23.
