Methodist Cross Country Competes at Conference Championships

PLEASANT GARDEN, N.C. - Methodist traveled to the USA South Cross Country Championships on Saturday where the men placed third and the women placed fifth overall.
On the men's side,
Nick Sauls led the team through the 8K with a 19th place finish in 30:42.9.
Aaron Holmes placed 21st in 32:05.1 and
Ryan Burchett was third in 32:37.7.
Thomas Brickhouse was 24th in 33:02.8 and
Keon Hannibal was 25th in 33:20.9.
Derek McGill was 36th in 39:22.6.
The women were just one point out of fourth place finishing in fifth amongst the conference teams.
Kristyn Zeiler was sixth finishing the 6K in 24:36.5 while
Katie Ballard was 28th in 28:32.9.
Morgan Artis placed 30th in 29:24.8 and Ashley Selfridge finished in 29:32.5 to place 32nd.
Katelyn Jarrell finished 49th in 32:08.6 and
Jennifer Kiner was 54th in 33:09.3.
The Monarchs' next meet in the Regional Championships hosted by Guilford College.
