FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) has announced the 2009 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Soccer teams. Methodist junior
Stephen Fox has earned first team honors while junior
Kelly Orpin earned second team recognition and senior
Whitney Roberson is a third team honoree.
Fox is a junior Business Administration major with a concentration in Sport Management boasting a 4.00 cumulative grade point average. In his third season with the Monarchs, Fox has seen action in 13 games with two starts. As a member of the All-District First Team, Fox advances to the national ballot for Academic All-American recognition.
Orpin is a junior Athletic Training major with a 3.86 grade point average. Also in her third season with the Monarchs, Orpin anchors the Methodist defense with a goal and two assists in 17 games played. Roberson is a senior Psychology major with a 3.58 grade point average. She has tallied six goals and one assist in 18 games played this season.
