GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Methodist men's golf team shot a 296 in the first round of the O'Briant Memorial on the par 70 course.
The Monarchs are five strokes ahead of host Guilford at 301. Emory is in third with a first round score of 303.
Trey Howell and
Josh Speight pace the Monarchs with a 73 while
Alex Weir shot a 74 and
Josh Schrader shot a 76.
Kyle Berry finished up with a 79.
The tournament concludes on Tuesday with the second round.
