Monarchs Come From Behind to Earn Win at Oglethorpe

CHESTNUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - The Methodist men's golf team shaved seven strokes off their team score in round two to come from behind and claim the win at the Royal Lakes/Oglethorpe Fall Invitational.
Methodist finished up with a 573 (290-283), seven strokes ahead of second place Guilford at 580 (284-296).
Josh Schrader won his second event this fall with a 136 (67-69) on the par 71 course.
Liam Friedman placed fourth with a 140 (69-71).
Robby Bruns finished up with a 148 (75-73) while
Josh Speight came back with an even 71 in the second round for a score of 151 (80-71).
Trey Howell also shot a 151 (79-72) for the tournament.
The Monarchs will finish up their fall season at the Tom O'Briant Memorial in Greensboro, N.C. Oct. 26-27.
