FAYETTEVILLE, NC - The Methodist University women's basketball team traveled to N.C. State University on Thursday afternoon to visit Wolfpack head coach Kay Yow. Last month, the Monarchs hosted a "Think Pink" game night to increase awareness and raise fund for breast cancer. The team decided to donate their $3,350 in proceeds to the Kay Yow/WBCA Breast Cancer fund.
The Monarchs met on Thursday to travel to Reynolds Coliseum and meet with Yow. The N.C. State women's basketball organization welcomed Methodist head coach DeeDee Jarman and her team as the Wolfpack prepare for the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). Yow was extremely grateful for the donation and expressed how honored she was that Methodist would take the time to present their gift in person.
The Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund is a 501 c(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against cancer through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause.
